"CARRIER DUELS"

Back in the days of Fighter Duel (Net Duel), we created what we called "Carrier Duels". Here's how it works: after entering the game (already flying, at alt, as in the Warbirds free arena, but this could be changed to takeoffs from fields located not-too-far from the carrier) pilots immediately fly towards the neutral carrier (no AAA), the object being to land on it without getting shot , then take off again, and try to land again, as many times as possible, without getting killed, and to also do whatever is necessary to prevent other planes from landing (that is, shoot 'em down). If you get shot down you have to start again from the game-entry location. Carrier Duels can be flown free-for-all as well as teams. These carrier duels were tons of fun, excellent practice for all aspects of flying (carrier landing, takeoff, climb, with hostile encounters happening during any flight phase). I think it would be a cool concept for an alternate arena in Aces High, and I think others would agree, after trying it out.

Quick followup. After landing we'd type our landing count. For example, If I had just landed for the third time, I'd type "3" so that the others would know my current score. Sometimes we'd start a game where the first person to land 5 times would be the "winner". Or, the most landings in 15 minutes, etc...

That would be a cool event. Now I wonder if they are going to introduce a Japanese Fleet as well. This way we could do some Pacific Scenerio's and get the F4's and the Zero's up.

A Midway Scenario would be kewl!

Of course, we'll have to have some japanese torpedo planes for this to be doable.

With the addition of fleets, I would hope that the next additions to AH will be Axis naval attack aircraft.

Be kinda strange trying to run any form of event with both fleets having to use Avengers as the attack planes for allies and axis both.

Now, I'm not posting this for any other reason than to show you what is possible, so don't get your panties in a wad.  I hope to see something similar over here soon.  That said, look at what we are doing on December 2nd.  So far, the only plane substitution is the TBF for the TBM, and all carriers will hold the correct complement of planes,  as well as being the correct scale and design.  Pretty cool, eh?

I love that plan Gadly! I think that would be an awesome battle with much higher than usual rivalry amongst units. Not only between friendly units but against the other side also. Thanks for the link.
