Patch 3 report
« on: November 06, 2003, 05:06:55 PM »
Ok first off Let me say this is only getting better and better thx for all the hard work HTC:aok
Ok I did notice that while flying the p-51 and shooting at drones
The bullet strikes where right on but the plane still just disappears instead of blowing up.
Now I may be jumping the gun so forgive me;)

Also I noticed that while in the tiger and spawning in the hanger.
You die when you try to drive out of hanger.
Also you can stick you'r cannon barrell out of wall and fire.

The wheels and carriage on the p-51 and spit looks GREAT.
I don't know what you did to the FPS but it looks like it even got better.
Now CAn I ask you in next patch to let us test in higher resulutions than 1024?
Maybe 1600x1200.

Also some of the bushes have a solid block around them .

Thats all I can think of now I am going to play it some more.

1 thing is when you set convergence you still have to use hat view then it slings back to look at plane. And if you set to 650 the numbers and lines for guns go thru building and stick out way past building.

and still about 15 fps with all things on flyin and drops to 11 when using guns. (Radeon 8500)

Radeon fix is good again can see info now.

max vid mem is 64 i use 63.4  and max's out when i fire guns

when you shoot planes they dont smoke or explode.

can see sprite hits, not as laggy when nearing planes
but still there is only me and four drones

Aces High II Version 1.993 Open Beta

Did not get the square text blocks problem I had with Version 1.992  :aok
Looks good keep up the good work.  :aok

The bullets look to be striking about right but the plane just disappears instead of blowing up for me too.

Frame Rate Testing:
Test (1). tracers off, P-51D, default field facing NE, engine off.
frame rate = 10
settled
frame rate = 10

Test (2). Take off and climb to 3000 feet and level out.
frame rate = 16
Fire both sets of weapons and settled.
frame rate = 17

Probably no big deal but the sky looks black when I have the Horizon box checked in Video Settings. This was the same on the two previous versions.

Here is a screen shot of what I mean.
