Use a real nickname, thats what I did. Grits was given to me years ago when I lived in SoCal. Me and a bunch of buddies went out drinking and I was drunk (and hongry) when I got home so I made a pot of grits and ate the whole thing since they didnt want any for some reason. They had heard of grits, but had never seen them and it freaked them surfer boys out. Next thing you know Im Grits. :)

I think "Topgun" hollywood names like Viper, Cobra, Maverick etc that you give to yourself are kinda masturbatory, but thats just me. ;)
