Email me your address (it's in my profile) and I'll send you a couple of F22 hat shafts and the switch cap.  You can just remove the 8-way cover by sticking the tip of a small flat head screwdriver in the hole and gently levering it sideways.  The cap will pop off and you can replace the hat shaft.

This crappy blurry photo should give you an idea :)

6:30 on a Saturday morning TOB?  It's like you can sense a Thrustmaster post even in your sleep.

Hi SOB,

Was just wondering are you making the hat shafts? That's the one part I keep breaking. I have lots of the the switch bodies, and the little switches them selves , but very few hat shafts that are not broken at the top.

Nah, I just have plenty of parts F22s laying around.  If you want a couple of shafts, email me, and I'll send a couple your way too!

Mini - I like to call it my Thrustysense.  Well, that and I work on Saturday so I was up and looking at the bb anyhow.  :)

I used too have trouble with the shafts breaking but saw a post on how too fix it and have had no problems since. I don't remember where it was but all it took was getting a small drill bit and some small screws and drilling a hole straight down the center of the shaft and putting one of the small screws in the hole to reinforce the plastic shaft. I had to file the edges off the screw once it was installed so the hat would fit back on. It works quite well.

SOB,

Thanks for your generous offer.  :)

I still have one good replacement switch assembly that should get me by for a awhile.

It's just that I was thinking about how I was going to make new hat shafts when I saw your post and thought you might be making new ones, and wanted to know how you had gone about it.

When it comes time to fixing the last one I think I'll give  Band's trick a try with the small screws.

p.s.  Band Thanks for the Idea :aok
