Statistics/Score Web Page
« on: September 25, 2000, 10:26:00 PM »
I think the current statistics/kill stats web page is innadequate. The sort of queries you can make against the database is small and quite fustrating to work out the sorts of things we would like to know.

I thought if we compile a list of queries that *you* would like to make and we can give HTC a list of the most popular ones to implement on the web page.

Please, dont reply with: "who cares about scores... blah blah blah... fly for fun... blah blah blah..." Statistics are a very usefull training tool to pinpoint your weaknesses and others strengths - the cornerstone of any methodical approach to improvement.

I realise some may not be possible or practical depending on the DB Schema.

So, my ones would be
 - list all your deaths by plane type.
 - list all your k/d against plane types.
 - list all your k/d against squads.
 - list biggest kill streak
 - list average landing (to refuel) versus landing (to end sortie)
 - list average k/d per refuel.
 - what planes by percentage does pilot X fly

Im sure i can think of more.

Please add your ones

I agree we need a improved score board.

Im not a big fan of the over all ranking system either.
I dont fly buffs and never will.
I would like to see my score only as fighter vs fighter.

i think there should be a seperate board for ground ,air and bombers.

Also some how there should be a ranking system for jabo pilots.

I miss seeing the breakdown of my kills by landed ,ditched and shot down missions.

I was just thinking the same thing.  Who was it that maintained the score page for Warbirds that was so great?  Had pie charts and all sorts of information.

Deft still maintains WB's scorepages, and yes it is very nice, would be nice to see something similar for AH.

Does anyone have a link to these pages yall are talking about?

If HiTech would give me access to the log files or whatever he's storing this info in, I'd be more than happy to put together something like what you're describing.

What do ya say HiTech?

You can find some of those on the score page allready.
Push "KILL STATS".
I am not sure of that's what you're looking for but you can choose a plane and see how many kills/Deaths you have in it, you can allso see how many kills/deaths you have against a country, player or a squad.

Not really

I think we should have a seperate ranking for ground vehicles.

I drive tanks and ostwinds but I'm considered a buff.

If you look at my tank and ostwind stats(Panzer 49K to 4D, Ostwind 112K to 24D) you would find that I'm really doing pretty good but if you look at overall I suck.

Wilbus:
Its about putting the info you can get in a Top-1788-list (assuming there are 1788 players). The current system simply isnt worth the hassle.

With the 1.04 the difference between planes have grown bigger (fx 109G10 still a great survivor, but now a directly lousy killer). To differentiate between each plane is a must.4 k\d in the g10 is *much* more impressive than same in ... well you get the point.

And punt.
