Thanks Folks!
« on: August 14, 2000, 06:49:00 PM »
I had to go away for a few days and when I returned, I found my email reader stuffed with kind words about the terrain builder add-on tool than Dave and I built for AH.

There are too many to respond to personally, so we would like to thank you all publically...Thanks !  The thought that you folks will put it to good use makes all the work worthwhile.

P.S.  The only unkind words I received were from my ISP....it seems that on Thursday alone there were 3900+ downloads and about 100Megs of bandwidth traffic <tugs on collar>

P.P.S.  Four of you emailed about technical problems.  I'll be getting back to you this week.  Also check the Terrain Editor forum for possible solutions.

Yep, those ISP's do get touchy about things like that.

Off topic but just have to say it... We warned our isp the day before we opened www.nsync.com  , they looked at us like, uh huh sure, we're worried   Next day we got like 4 million hits and they didn't recover for over a week

Ogre, if you the download is causing you problems, we can add it to our server and you could just change the link.

Pyro, thanks for the offer, but it should be OK now.  It was pretty high during the initial surge, but the demand has now tapered off to well within my allotment.

I guess, naively, I hadn't expected such a response.  Something like 7000 downloads...eek

We have 1 Gb of room and unlimited traffic on RAF303.org server..
Now with you being Jg54 and all... we might have to have exorcism performed on you.. but after that we can help you out
