You knew that I had Pink G-strings

But what about the latest addition to my wardrobe? It's classy, manly and came with a Barbie doll and matching handbang.

And look at the wonderful text:

A closer look....

All mine for 18 000 DKK ($2800)

For the geeky types: it's a Teardrop rig ('92) with a poptop. In it is a Safire 149 square foot tapered semi-elliptical zero porosity blue canopy called Fluffy with around 300 jumps on it. Mini risers and d-rings. Normal silver reserve handle, yellow cutaway handle. Velcro on risers, but am having that replaced as well as replacement of the spandex BOC. Mayday 206 square foot reserve (not sure of colour yet :D) Has a CYPRES AAD, 4 years old, just had its four year check. It's been modified for Freefly use, and it's saved my life more than a couple of times.

I'm gonna order a new freefly suit soon. Maybe I should make it red. With flowers on the side of the legs.

The rig is the reason I haven't been flying in Aces High. Spent more than a computers worth on jumps this summer and the rig means I won't be able to upgrade until summer. And I got a trip to Russia planned for then, so I might not fly in AH for longer than that :lol.

At least I'll get lots of practise bailing out :D

Mayday 206 square foot reserve
Thats a pretty good sized reserve!  I think the ones we used were military surplus, about 180 sq.ft. rounds.

That color would have been in style in the 80's... :D

Hey, where the heck is Saw? He's supposed to be out this way soon...you were threatening to come to Seattle too...whens that gonna be?

It's a big reserve. I wanted a big one because if I have a slammer opening on the main and dislocate a shoulder/am unconscious or something, I want it to land so I can survive even with no input.

I'm not sure you can translate round squre feet to square ones. I mean, the student rigs I jumped were 280 square foot. Also depends a lot on your weight - I have friends who jump 190s as their main and still load them around 1.2. Of course I also know people who fly 74 squre foot pocket rockets at over 2.0 wingload, but they're insane :D

In general you want a wingload of around 1.0-1.3 as an intermediate main chute. I load mine at 1.2 or so. Wanted less than 1.0 on the reserve - more docile, less prone to spins, flies better if I have to cut some lines because of a lineover or somesuch. It does take up some space, but I feel safer with it.

:lol
Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

PINK! I LOVE PINK! That's the famous plane called Pink!

That is the most awesome jump ship ever built! Duckwing said something about it coming to southern Denmark/northern Germany this summer.

If that's the case, I'll get to jump her. Can't wait. Awesome.

You're just jealous coz I got the right colours and now you cannot have the same because then you'd look stupid if we met at a DZ somewhere swager :D

Heheh, a friend is trying to lure me to go BASE jumping. I need a lot more experience before I try that however. Dunno how to pack BASE rigs either.

You have turbine jumpships in Norway, so it is VERY possible I'll visit next summer as I know some people who go to Norway each summer. All depends on whether I can save up enough to go to Russia or not.

If I don't I expect you to buy me beer in Norway :D

Ohh np StSanta I buy my beer in Denmark/Sweden so np :)
I will buy you more than one, and you get some good moonshine too hehe (I love seeing people not used to it tip over) :D

And they also at the places where base jumping is forbidden cause of to many deaths, they offer helicopter jumps 50m away from the mountain side (guess thats much safer lol  )

Well any law made bye the politicans is possible to break, and pass safely ? :D (It`s all in the silisitors hands hehe)

heheh airguard, sounds good to me. >Regarding the helicopter jump, there was a fatality not long ago in Norway. Woman jumped from helicopter, had a 180 opening/problem and crashed into the side of the rock walls. Hung for a while and then slid down to her death :(. It's not as safe as some people claim it is.

grünherz - mebbe I'll make my next freefly suit a leather one, so as to not break regulations :p. It'll have to be pink leather with metal studs, though. On the inside, as per usual.

Animal, I actually had a weird jump this summer. Was freeflying with my sister and *forgot* all about a skydive being of limited time. I was enjoying myself so much I forgot about altitude and time - I thought it'd last at least a few hours.

Then I see my sis waving off and tracking away, wondering wtf was up with that. Then saw a chute at the corner of my eye. And me dropping rapidly below it. Only THEN did my brain register a planet being thrown my way. Checked airspace and dumped immediately. Got a royal chewing out by the ST&A guy for going low.

When I started out I wondered how the hell people could lose altitude awareness - you're falling towards the earth for grace's sake! Hopefully I'll have learned something from the incident.

Just weird man. I actually did not think for a second about the fact that freefall is only about a minute or so. Odd, huh?
