While some may criticize the Kaiser's lack of initiative, his conservative play has not failed him yet. He continues to move slowly, albeit surely, towards final victory.
Meawhile, Tsar fd-ski plays his cards well and solidifies his lines as best he can by recapturing Rumania.
In the East, the French and Turks fight over the Ionian Sea and Albania, with neither side able to dislodge the other. The Turks appeared poised to capture Albania, but the French army's orders to move from Albania to Trieste created a bounce of both armies, denying the Turks the chance for the moment to reclaim Albania. The French will be hard pressed to retain Albania, now that the Turks get another build this year.
Austria appears to have been relegated to a supporting role, so it doesn't appear that the Austrians will become the major player that the Archduke once hoped she would.
