This is a pic from early in the war. When English commandos first started using SCUBA they earned the nickname of "frogmen" a name still used today.

As we all know the Germand did lead the world in medicine and science. Upon hearing the term frogman thought they were a mix of frog DNA and man DNA.

This is a failed Frogman POW camp. Note the fence in the forground and the gun tower on the left. This was early in the construction as the messhall isnt there and the basketball court is only half done, note the two poles near the fence.

Bridgehead at Remagen, pontoon bridges handled most of the traffic as the Ludendorf railway bridge was too weakened and eventually fell into the river.

That's my guess.
