Suncom usb sfs
« on: December 01, 2003, 11:50:40 AM »
Anybody have any experience with the Suncom USB SFS joystick? I have wanted one of these for a number of years. A friend of mine had one about eight years ago with the old pin connectors. It is modeled after the F15 control stick, but also very closely resembles the F/A18 stick. Any info would be appreciated.

My Suncom gear is gameport only, but it worked fine when I slapped some USB adapters on the stick and throttle.

Suncom went tits up a few years back and I believe only released analog gear.  You should be able to use a Rockfire or Radio Shack game port to USB adaptor.  If you're running XP you might want to make sure that the the USB adaptors are compatible with WinXP.  I know the Rockfire game port isn't and will only work with Win98SE/ME.
