Absolutely some of the best whitetail hunting in the state is Dallas, Perry, Lowndes, Autauga, Marengo counties. All of which are what is known as the "Black Belt" area. The ground is so fertile that the top soil in the area is black and super heavy in all the minerals which allow trees and crops to grow so big. Thereby allowing the deer in the area to get up high in size.
