The only German pilot in the Macedonian front during WWI, had over 20 victories before the allies rigged an observation ballon with explosives, which he strafed and they killed him.
Anyway, since alot of times he had no way to confirm his victories, three different times he shot up planes and motioned for them to land. He then took them prisoner and waited for a German partol to come along and escort the prisoners back to Darma field, Greece.
Funny part was though, the British Royal Navy pilots were treated extremely well because Eschwege was very happy to finally have other pilots to talk to!
Relevance? None. Well he did know Ernest Udet, who was a desk jocky, for the Luftwaffe during WWII, directly under Goring, who was a superior to the German that got strangled at some point.
