Shane hit the nail on the head (and glad you guys enjoyed the article;) ). Unfortunately, due to Academy politics, official cadet participation squashed what was an otherwise promising tool for training our future Air Force leaders.
BTW Raptor, no...they don't have multimilliondollar modern flight sims for the cadets to play on. For the reasons mentioned in my report, a WWII flight sim is a better place to start them, and more cost effective. Even if they did have those high-dollar sims, they could only afford a half-dozen at the most; not enough to get the kind of experience these cadets got in Hostile Shores.
