17 Gulf War POW's get left in the dark...
« on: November 24, 2003, 03:39:55 PM »
There is a some outstanding reporting (ive known about this crock for a while thank goodness someone mainstream reported it) in regards to some unknown vets who were awarded a settlement on behalf of a law designed to deter other nations from using torture on US Armed Forces.  This law entitled these 17 a substantial amount of money from the their service in the first gulf war..

Who need enemies when we treat our own vets like this...

Its a good read on the character of our current White House.  While I agree that in todays financial crisis both home and in Iraq the goverment is doing the right thing by allocating the monies to the Iraq rebuilding fund; I completely disagree that our current goverment is keeping these Vets in the dark with no written assurances that they will get what is due..

Be all that you can be.... re - up now...

2 cents...

PS:  If you do some research on this topic you may be lucky enough to find the transcripts of Scott McKellan ducking a reporters question on this matter no less than 5 times...

Pretty honorable...
