Thanksgiving prayers
« on: November 27, 2003, 11:52:58 AM »
For those of us that celebrate Thanksgiving on this date. Remember those who are away from home on this day. Remember those who are placing themselves in harms way for your benefit and not able to have this day in safety and comfort. This goes for the Military, Firefighters and Police who are on duty instead of being home.

to those who served before
to those who served with us
to those serving now
to those who are on perpetual duty and sacrificed all
to those who will serve in the future

We have much to be thankful for on this day with the sacrifices of these folks.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
