Closing Windows

Im curious, why will the windows I use to surf the internet not close after im done?  I click on the close X and nothing happens.  Makes a little noise and then nothing happens.  Anyone got an answer? :D

Only way I can close the internet windows is by using Ctrl+Alt+Delete and ending the program. :(

Can you minimize the windows?  Make sure there's no open yes/no dialogue box behind it.  

My parents computer is doing something similar right now.

Did you try going into your sound setup and choosing 'NONE' for the 'Close Program' sound (or maybe just changing it to another sound)?

Should be able to do it from Control Panel>Sounds & Multimedia.
