Video Card Selection
« on: December 04, 2003, 12:14:59 AM »
Just curious as to what the best "bang for the buck" is nowadays.  Right now I am running a 64MB ATI Mobility M7 Raedon video card.  One problem I am having is that chunks of land far off won't load untill I move closer to them.  This is VERY annoying at say.... 10,15K and up.  I have toggled my video settings all across the board and can't seem to get all of the terrain to show.  My roomate is running an INVID GeForce 5600 with 128MB of vid mem.  His PC will run AH and load all terrain even up to 40K!  I'm thinking my next step is to shop for a new card.  Am I correct?  If so, what are some good options.

Sounds like you have a lower detail selected..... try hitting Shift F1 and see if it improves.....  :)
