The L-39. Those things shouldn't be sold to unskilled pilots more aless skilled pilots.
The L-39 is for pilots; is like that kid wanting the BB gun.. You'll shoot your eye out kid! Or in this case kill yourself.

L39's can even be purchased by NON pilots!!! OH THE HORROR!!!!!
Now if you want to fly, it you must first get trained in it and have a letter of authorization that confirms to the FAA that you have been trained and have been found competant to operate this particular flying machine.

I could fly one no problem I bet. I have over 100 hours on jets on Microsoft Flight Sim. I bet I don't even need a check ride or anything.

There's one for sale here. Guy has no time to fly it. I've drooled on it many, many times...

Bob Lutz, old CEO of Chrysler, flies one of these. From what I hear, parts aren't difficult to get. There are warehouses of them in ex-Soviet countries.

I think I read in FLYING magazine, they had his L-39 on the cover...he landing his gear up once...not mechanical failure, he forgot to lower it. Eek. That would be a bad call to make to tower... "Can someone get me off the runway?"
