IE Help

Ok, IE is acting totally weird these days.  Clink a link and get either 403 or 404, hit back, click it again, sometimes it loads, sometimes it's 403 or 404 (the one I didn't get the first time).  Other times it loads the wrong page.  It seems the favorite page when it loads the wrong one is the error404.jpg at SOE's website.

Done all the patches etc at windows update except SP4 for win2kpro.  Tried clearing the history/temp files/cookies.  Still having the problem.  It's specific to this machine, because the other 2 machines on my LAN don't have any problems like this.

Anyone got any ideas?  I'm starting to think it's time to toast C: and redo it all anyway.

you have a bug on your machine thats reseting your home page.

start/run/   type in msconfig     goto the startup tab and you will probely see it there ... once you get the name then you can go to a virus deffenition site (viropedia ) and look up how to get rid of the pest ..

Caveman,

Another tip is to change your settings and stop automatically accepting active x files from running. Do the same for cookies. I haven't had a gremlin like that since I made thos changes.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
