B5 dmg and such
« on: December 06, 2003, 01:31:32 PM »
First off, thank you HTC for all your hard work, I know it's hard with some of the criticism. If I've covered things that have already been posted I apologize.

I do like take-offs now btw, lol probably in the minority on that one.

Was able to disable mouseview. figured I'd include that since it seemed someone else couldn't.

Anyways, was just online in B5 took up a spit5 and the 190. I have a screenshot of how the clipboard can get obscured by cockpit parts but it's easy to reproduce (for me anyway).

Was firring guns at different objects on A5, saw no hit sprites on any surface/object but shooting the regular terrain does yield puffs of dirt.

Also while flying around there is a noticeable screen freeze that lasts for about 1.5-2 seconds, this was also reported by others online but not simultaneously by all in visual range. This happened to me while flying the spit5 and the 190. I was not flying straight we were "mock dogfighting" over A5.

Also I have a film of how the 190 was being damaged incorrectly by a collision with nme AC. Myself and RTCsly (also in a 190) were toying around I was purposely trying to collide with him. when I did, my nose to his tail I lost my rudder and elevator. That being said he took no damage. He then upped a goon after augering and I asked to tickle his tail with my prop to verify. He graciously accepted and we both turned on film. I slowly crept up to his c47 carefull not to just fly through. When my prop made contact with his tail I immediatly went nose down and noticed I lost my other elevator which confirmed the damage issue. Again he reported no damage but that could just be lag I suppose. I've yet to try this with any other AC btw.
