Outside look

With the beautiful artwork in Aces High, can't we have one outside look of the plane we are flying?  Maybe just so we can see our Squad emblem(someday?) or number(No tags with only a number painted on side of plane so you could see your wingman and know it's him....wouldn't that be fun "no tags").  The outside look doesn't have to show enemy icons either......yep we like to look at the planes we are flying.

Hmm.. obviously you don't fly the b17/c47 they support outside look. You can't look outside in a fighter do to the "combat advantage" issues such a view would give you.

I think Thorns is talking about aircraft customisable skins.

There's been talks about this and HT was thinking about letting us control some bits of the paint job...can't remember what it was and how it was gonna be done though.  Maybe someone else remembers what he said.

Even if it's just a tail section or nose art, it'd be great!

You can have an outside view just fly offline and it is there.

I read your post again Thorns it makes even less sense now. Your trying to say what?? That one can have an external view of the plane or that outside plane textures are added? Plane textures cool .. external view isn't very realistic (unless your running to the plane).

As Rebel28 said, if you want to look at your aircraft go offline - no problem.  Also, if you want to see the outside during online, just turn on the film recorder, then play it back with outside view on.

My sad attempt at clarifying the original post:

Thorns is trying to say that he would like a squad paint job so that when he looks out of his cockpit he will see his wingman's squad markings, and know that he is winging with the right guy.

nope,  sad to say I know Thorns from way back, He's to vain to want to see his wingmans artwork, all he wants to do is admire his own ";^). And I have seen it to often that the only planes he gets close enough to actually ID the paint scheme on,is when he is firing at one, and all he needs then is a bullseye

I've asked about the custom Schemes before but never got an answer.  I wish later on this could be added. It would make the game that much better.

The "No Tags" arena is so hard to keep your wingman with you when everyone is flying.  The number is the only thing you can see to ID your wingman.  The number could be an icon on the side of your plane that changes everytime you enter the game or it could be assigned(but all can't have the same number).  I hope everyone understands that you don't have to be flying to have one outside view of your plane, it would work if you were just parked. You just have to know what to tell your wingman when he is looking for you.  Also, if I'm going to fly it's not going to be offline unless I'm traveling and don't have a internet connection.  Sorry if I confused anyone.  Now stay on the paper JB!  HEHE!  Vain?.....I don't comb my hair its cut in a flat top.  Join Sunny and I for lunch sometime will ya?
