HQ and Communications

Just a idea that when you knock out HQ your communications should also be affected.Lets say we knock out HQ then drop troops to "capture"HQ. Now for lets say 50%of rebuild time the country only has open channel and squad channel,no country or private channels. When the HQ is rebuilt past 50% communications are back to normal.
I myself don't like the idea, but it might make the play more "real".Just a thought .

Packrat, please do not take this as a flame, just stating my opinion...

I dont like this idea...I am not as big of a sim freak as some of the others in AH and would not be fond of having my communications limited because some freak with alot of time on his hands decided to climb to 35K, fly off the map so we couldnt track him and then sneak over to our HQ from the south (I am a Bishop) and pork our HQ.

It may add a level of realism but it would ruin my enjoyment of the game or sim or whatever you like calling it!  I think I enjoy the social nature of AH as much as the gaming aspects of it.

Radar is irrelavant..For guys who want to fight..

Wana fight,Bishops head N.Rooks Head S. Knights NE or SE and you will find the fight.. Unfortunatly we have inflight Radar which is totally unrealistic. Ive talked to HT about this but he said(for game play reasons,he will keep it in.)

I think that Radar should only be accessed from the tower..

Just my thoughs on Radar..

Dingy;

Well said!

The issue of "Fun" becomes a complex one.  I would think that for a game (or sim) to be "Fun" that would mean that most of the people playing the game are having "Fun".

("Follow the White Rabbit")

There are many spectrums as to what is considered "Fun" by many different people with many different ideas as to what they consider to be "Fun".

("Breath Neo!")

The Game Designers job is to distinguish what elements of "Fun" is the most "Fun" for a large percentage of its targeted customer base.

("Oh why didn't I take the BLUE pill!")

Game players having "Fun" fork out their hard earned dollars, sending the Game Producers on long restful vacations to South Pacific Island Paradises.

("You are, The One!")

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Wardog: when do you learn that everyone doesn't want to fight in the "big furball"?
