I have film shot over the last two days. What the hell are you talking about? I was hitting 224 with a load of other rooks. Sometimes I was so low to the deck that you can see my shadow.

Beet1e, you just admitted here that you are part of the horde.
You went to an enemy base with little resistance... vulched what you could along  with a "load of other rooks".

Edit:  I watched the film, the only time you were close to the deck was as you dove down to cherry pick basically helpless, very low E victims. Your post falsely intimates that you spent significant time on the deck.  At one point you zoomed from a pick to over 11k!. Also worthy of note: Until you got caught by the pony, there was exactly one plane in the bunch w/ a higher E state than yourself.......low on the deck..  gimme a break. Just because it wasn't in a late war plane doesn't  make it any more skillful, Beet1e. I wonder what happened on  the rest of that film.  did you die, or did the rook numbers overwhelm the hapless nit defenders and a vulch ensue?

Had you and the horde met with significant resistance, you would have melted away and gone after some other undefended local.
You make my point for me.

I would rather find a nice big  fight to be part of.... many people feel the same way I do. I know, I know, simply because I don't like the map and voice my opinion, I'm a whiner.  Ya, that makes a lot of sense.... anyone with the voice of dissent is a whiner.  People that wanted to abolish slavery... they carried on for years to get things changed... whiners!!!!
Then when the black folks wanted equal rights... simple things like the  right to vote... they had to voice protest for years... whiners!!!!
Womens sufferage:  Whiners!!!
Taxation w/out representation:  Whiners!
The jews etal. in the concentation camps: Whiners!!!

No-one should ever rail against the status quo more than once.. if they do, they are whiners!!!

Beet ... I just watched the film too.

The only reason why you were anywhere near the deck was due to the fact that's where ALL the targets were ... obviously beaten down to that alt by the Rook horde preparing to set up the vulch at that base.

I have to admit that the high deflection shot on the A6M on the deck and the zoom to 11K was really risky and aggresive ... WTG ... :lol

I'm not a fan of the Pizza map either, but it does have one small redeeming feature. The desert is bright at night and those sneaky NOE field porkin' girly-boys stand out like a sore thumb. Likewise, the GV horde is fully visible too. It's the MA map that glows in the dark. ;)

Steve/Slapshot. (and Rude if he's listening)

Let's focus on the facts. It was not a gangbang/horde. At the moment I dived on that first con, there were only 7 rooks present, and 10 knights! The rooks (me) were outnumbered. The knights also had LA7s in abundance, AND P51s, both of which outperform my 109G2. Secondly, in pointing out that I zoomed to 11K, you conveniently overlook that the field itself was at 5K elevation, so that zoom to 11K was only 6K above ground level. I realise that such giddy heights would have your noses bleeding, but let's move on. Why shouldn't I zoom up? Is there something in the Aces High rulebook that forbids me from flying the way I did in the film? What page of the rule book? Where's the rule book?! Perhaps one of you gentlemen would be kind enough to advise me of a better way to fly an energy fighter like the 109G2? I await your films with baited breath, and look forward to your 109G flight tuition. Steve tried the 109 once (E model) but he sucked and gave up.

And lastly, the film was to show two things. 1) There are fights/furballs to be found on Pizza. 2) Of course I'm not in the stratosphere all the time.

But just hold on... Why the inquest into the way I enjoy MY $14.95 worth??? Aren't you the guys who proudly proclaim that in this game, there are choices for all and you can fly how you like? Are you getting testy with me because I wasn't flying *your way*? There's a name for people like that  - Gen... Gen...al...mo - damn! can't think of it - ask Mr. Toad. :lol

This is NOT the thread in which I posted the film - you're off topic.
And this is a thread in which the rights and wrongs (assuming there were any) of the pizza map are being discussed. But here you come, turning it into a "our furball flying methodology is the only way to play AH" thread.

But that was not unexpected. I've proved you wrong about there being no fights on the pizza map, and I've proved you wrong about it being a gangbang (we were actually outnumbered 10/7) and I've proved you wrong about me hogging the stratosphere. So now you've lost the argument on THREE counts, the only way you can fight back is to criticise the way I fly my 109G2. Well you can kiss my arse. You're all a bunch of furball-whining A.D.D afflicted dolts. :)

Oh and Steve - if you insist on discussing women's voting rights, the correct spelling is suffrage, not sufferage. Sufferage is what Lazs's girlfriends have to do. ;)

Oh - and one last thing since you asked - I landed 7 kills at the end of that sortie. Is there an AH rule I don't know about that says how this should be done?

Beet1e, as I said.. there was only one other plane w/ an E advantage over you, regardless of what alt you were zooming to.  He was 8.1 away, btw.  It doesn't matter what plane you are cherry picking in, it's all the same.
You made it sound like you spent a good deal of time close to the ground, so close you could see your own shadow... well this is BS, plain and simple.

I'm not getting testy at the way you fly, I took umbrage over the fact that you misrepresented what the film was about... so far every single person that has watched it, called you in this lie.
Again, it's not about how you fly, but about how you lie.

I upped it once, killed the attacker(Fw of some sort, don't remember), landed.
Exactly how is that sucking?

Beet1e quote:

Actually there was 1 LA7 in the area, and NO P51's when the fight started.
BTW  the LA7 was at 700 AGL.  lol
also, the one 51 that got a shot at you upped from the base you were capping, and the only reason he got a shot  at you is because of your terrible SA.  You dove past him to get a shot on Knife's 6, ignoring the pony as it angled to your 6 as you dove by.
More Beet1e BS

You're right Beet1e. Of the 10 nits present, 4 were on the ground, and only 2.. that's right 2 were over 1000 AGL.

You make it sound like you were at some kind of disadvantage, lol.

Also, 2 of the  10 nits were already in GV's... clearly indicative that a vulch was in progress or imminent, so get off your BS slant of what occurred.

This was a vulch or about to be one... tell the truth

The object of my post was to twist your nipples ... looked like it worked ... I use all stainless steel hooks so there will be no infection. Fly the way you want beet ... I REALLY don't care ... just let me fly the way I want ... simple as that.

If that is your visual defintion/understanding of a furball, your really have no clue as to what a true furaball is. Of course your not in the stratosphere all the time, when your not there your in the ionosphere.

I wouldn't fly a 109/190 gutless wonder if it was the last plane available so you won't be getting any tutorials from me.

LOL Slapshot! I think I like you. :):D Tits are still sore this morning, but I took the hooks out late last night to use on Steve's tits! Looks like that operation was successful too. BTW did you ever see that film with Richard Harris in which he joins an Indian tribe, and has to dance with needles through his tits until the thread breaks? Ouch... :(

109/190 gutless wonder? The G2 is slower than the P51 and LA7, can't turnfight a N1K and is no match for the Spit ix. Given that those are the four plane types I'm most likely to encounter, the 109G2 represents a good challenge. Please give me further advice on thow this plane *should* be flown. And please post more films.

Steve, me old China! (cockney rhyming slang - china plate = mate)

Hehe, Yes the field was at 4K. Just checking to see if you were paying attention! :D Yes I did keep the speed up, and zoom to conserve E. What should I have done on this sortie? Upon arrival at the knit field, seeing that most cons were low, should I have descended to 2K agl, slowed to 200mph and engaged the N1Ks in a turnfight? If you think that's what the 109 is good at, no wonder you sucked in it. I kept the speed high for several reasons - to chase down cons (clearing sixes), to become a difficult target for the GVs, and to get to safety from the acks/GVs after a bounce. But please do tell me how I *should* have flown a 109G2 in this instance.

A film can't lie, but it can't show everything. What it doesn't show was the knit attack on our base - waves of bombers, some escorted. I got about 6 bombers (no film - u will have to check stats) and then we pushed this fight back to their base. Each time I arrived there, I had no idea what I was going to find. Flying alone into a base at 2K is not recommended!

Anyhow, I was impressed that you paid so much attention to my film. :D Yes, the P51 nearly got me. I didn't see it. My first priority was clearing jackm1's 6 so I went for the N1K, but was too late to save jack. I realise you would not have done the same thing yourself, as your primary loyalty is to #1, and to padding your score. But I was pleased with the way the 109 performed in that scissors - that's another thing 109s can be good at. My friends - and they were good friends - looked after the Pony. But I think it's fair to say that the sortie was not without risk.

Anyway, I never claimed to have any skill - indeed, Lazs is at pains to point out that I have none. So your rant is way off topic. :lol The only thing that's missing now is a lecture about women's voting rights, girly men running Europe, and gun control - LOL!

Beet, if you're gonna take cheap jabs, at least base them in truth.  Just the other day I was rtb, low on ammo and dragging to our base.  You and another guy helped clear my 6 remember?  Then the base came under attack from 2 waves of jabo F4U's..  I stuck around and helped fend off the high bogeys... actually ran out of gas and ended landing a smokng wreck.  Wish I knew who the third guy was.  This is may be the only time we've crossed paths recently.  How quickly you forget, for the sake of insulting someone.

Yes I do remember that. I was in a 109F4. I couldn't easily follow the turn you made, but managed a medium-height yoyo to get on the guy's 6. I didn't kill him, but did get him off your 6.

As for what happened after the 109G2 sortie yesterday, I will tell you the honest truth. I have nothing to gain by being deceitful or dishonest. And you're not wrong. Once we had the base capped, it meant that rooks had a long green bardar in A224 sector. And the vulchers decided to show up. But here's the thing, and I put my hand on my heart as I say this: I saw the green bar, and could see that the next sortie (were there to have been one) would be spent competing for vulches. I don't like hordes and I don't like vulch fests. It was clear that Rooks were in control, and no longer in need of my services. ;) So I went to a CV battle which was unfolding in the NW area of the map.

Pizza map rocks! I always enjoy my time online on the pizza map, so it can't be bad. Later, I did some tank battling with deeka. But my sortie was cut short when I accidentally pressed the thumb button on my stick which is mapped to command ".ef". And the VH was down, so mission abandoned. :( I have since deallocated that stick button!

You asked for a film - I gave you a film and not with the intention of you using it to poke at my CO. That was wrong.

Maybe you are blessed with good eyesight and your tube renders the virtual cloud cover different than what others see. I have a hard time with cloud cover also, and to the best of my knowledge, I have never heard whines about it. Nighttime ... thats a different story.

Keep ... err ... tweak Pizza ... get rid of nighttime !!!!
