If you want cheep speakers that sound ok, Accent will fill the bill, but if you want really awsome sound stick with the brands well known for quality sonnd systems such as Sony, Altek, ect... just like good stereo equipment more power means better sound but beware of cheap brands that overate their stuf. Also keep in mind the biggest speakers you haave the room for will give the best sound.

Ask FunkedUp what he has.  His speakers sounded great at the mini-con.

I have a set of the Klipsch 5.1s for my computer. Actually sounds as good as the home stereo.  Had to turn the Sub down a bit tho, explosions tended to rattle stuff.

Logitech Z-680 is pretty awesome sounding and works with analog as well as digital sound card output, and it does Dolby and DTS decoding as well.

Klipsch Promedia 5.1 might sound a little better, but will work with discrete analog outputs only, so you need a software Dolby or DTS decoder.

Klipsch has added a digtal input 5.1 system to their line (Promedia GMX D-5.1) but it doesn't have anywhere near the power of the aforementioned systems.

I use the Monsoon MH-505 which is a little known and hard to find system, but is a great value for the money if you can find one for sale.  It uses discrete analog inputs only and output is only 125W max.  But the satellites use planar tweeters which sound as good as anything on the market.  I got lots of compliments on the sound quality at the mini-con.

Just get an adaptor cable ... almost any store has them these days and hook it into the Aux   or the tape 2  ... if you have a line level connect i wouldnt recomend that one unless your pc is without a sound card ... try to keep the pc volumn set low then set the stereo at a nice listen level ... then you can use the pc to lower or raise volumn as wanted.

if your hooking up to an amplifyed sound card then use the stereo to adjust the volumne , with the pc set as low as possiable . You want to make the stereo do the work instead of the pc

Mines hooked up to my old 300 watt marantz  with a old set of Bose 505's  it just rocks
