Probably a simple question, but how do you switch MP3s over to a format most CD players can read?

I'm not willing to go buy a new radio for my car unless I absolutely have to, I already have a burner.

Or is there a adaptor that will fit CD players like that they had for tape players for years so you can use some aux device?

You mean burn mp3's to a CD in a format that the CD player will read? 2 ways.

1. Buy a cd player that reads MP3s.

2. All CD burning software worth its salt will convert mp3's automatically as long as you select the option "burn music/audio cd." The format read by CD players is a .wav file. It's substantially bigger than an mp3 (10x or so), so you'll only be able to fit maybe 15-20 songs on a CD.

Your burner should have come with a program like Nero or EasyCD Creator, both of these will convert automatically. If you don't have those, I believe Windows Media player can burn as well (never done it myself though). If not, a quick search on Google or Download.com for a CD burning program should give you a decent trial version of something.

Thanks! I'll try that... I wasn't willing to buy a new CD player for my car just to play them, I knew there had to be a way around it.

Be careful though. Not all car CD players will play all types of CDR. Buy a few and try them instead of buying a big stack of 100 blanks and finding they don't work in your car! Also, CDRW is generally no good for audio CDs, so stay away from them.

Turns out my car radio will play the CD-Rs just fine, thanks alot for all the help gents!
