It'll be there shortly.  Why not use the auto-updater?

No offense, Pyro, but...

... I never trust auto-updaters. I know,
I'm a dying race but I want to know exactely
what I'm downloading and installing on my
'puter

I use to dl always the base if you release
a new version. Part of it is that I know that
I'm using a known proxy connection to the
http or ftp file.

And I know that I got the file 100%. With
the auto-updater I have made bad experiences
in Brand W when I was halfways through the
download and the connection broke.

PS: remeber how I gibed at HT with the "secure
connection" in PR way back then?

We've done quite a few updates and it's been working very well.  If you haven't used it before, the AH updater tells you what you're downloading(it puts it in your aceshigh directory), file size, bytes received, time remaining, time elapsed, and current throughput.  It also allows you to continue the download at a later time and will also pick up where you left off should the transfer get interrupted or dropped.

Pyro is right, never have had a problem with it. Works like advertised and never has done anything other than update existing directory.

I honestly have yet to use the auto updater
due to an ingrained and almost uncontrollable fear of to those programs. In brand "AW" they use it and much *too often* it was known as the "auto raper" for the problems it causes people.

I'll try this companies one on the next patch to see how it works.

Well I for one have had a ton of problems with the last download.

Every since I downloaded the new update I can't fly...I get in the air then boom I'm dead.

Sure I'm taking off from a capped base but still....yeesh! I just get into the air then I start seeing these funny lines fly around my AC and hear some strange pinging noises then boom.

The autoupdater is not really an autoupdater per se.  It is an autodownloader.  The files are not updated on the fly.  Rather, the update file is downloaded and then launched.  You can even cancel the installation before it starts.  It's no different than downloading the patch file into your aceshigh directory and launching it.

The autoupdater works for me but the D/L through it is painstakingly slow.

I always get a new version. I save them all in a directory and then copy them onto a re-writeable CD. That way I will have an evolutionary library

I learned that from wishing I had all the CK/WB versions from the early beta days.

That reminds me, the autoupdater sticks the update files in your aceshigh directory and there they remain.  That's handy if you need to reinstall but if you're looking to do some cleanup for drive space, don't forget about those.
