I would fear one of the band members in a car much more than all of my neighbors combined with guns in their homes,

Dago posts another Armed Citizen NRA Propaganda newletter.

MT posts some other handgun incidents where people got hurt/killed unnecessarily.

It is like the laws of physics being proven on this board.

LOS ANGELES -- An 18-year-old man was convicted of first-degree murder Wednesday for last year's shooting death of a 14-year-old honor student at a South Los Angeles bus stop.

A nine-man, three-woman panel deliberated just over a day before finding Antwaine Devon Butler guilty of the Nov. 21, 2002, killing of Clive Jackson Jr.

Butler will face a state prison term of 45 to 50 years to life when he stands before Superior Court Judge Judith Champagne on Feb. 5. As he was being led away, the teenager pounded his fist on a wall.

Girlfriend Arrested In Man's Shooting

A Crawford County man was hospitalized Sunday with a gunshot wound to the neck, an investigator said. The man’s live-in girlfriend was arrested in the shooting.


Kenny A. Smith, 42, was admitted to a Fort Smith hospital in critical condition Sunday, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office investigator Sgt. Aaron Beshears said. No information on Smith’s condition was available Monday.


Beshears said officers were dispatched to Smith’s residence in the 400 block of Gregory Chapel Road in the Alma area about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, in response to a report of a disturbance. Before the officers arrived at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office received another report that a man had been shot.

An 11-year-old Philadelphia girl was in serious condition at Temple Children's Medical Center yesterday after being shot in the right shoulder by a 10-year-old cousin, police said.

Police said the incident occurred about 10:50 a.m. yesterday in the home of Tracy Wilkins, 30, the girl's aunt, in the 5300 block of Gillespie Street in the city's Frankford section.

Clearly we need to keep firearms out of kids hands.

As someone that is very intiment with firearms i am mixed on gun control.
Yes something must be done to help prevents gun deaths in this country but what?
I am NOT for giving up my right to bear arms.

And As a law abiding citizen i don't think i should have to jump thu hoops to buy a gun.

I don't know, haven't researched the past history or criminal records of those who died.  But, I do believe if someone breaks into a persons home and makes the homeowner fear for his or his families life, than the use of lethal force against that home invader is justified.

We had two cases just recently in my the suburbs of the my area where homes were invaded in the late evening, both cases the invader had evil intent.  In both cases, the homeowner retrieved a weapon and only the home invader suffered an injury (loss of life in at least one case).

I realize others don't like guns, and I respect that feeling, but I strongly support the right of law abiding citizens to own a firearm and be able to defend their home and family.

A. I am not anti-gun. I am just sick and tired of the silly notion that guns are great for self protection... followed by a few posts from across the nation.

B. IRON, I made no point at all in my post. Just showed that evidence can be garnered for anything on the internet. And that there is so much more showing gun deaths by homicide or suicide or accident than for protection.

C. Rip, that woooosh sound was the point sailing way over your head.
