Grade Okinawa Setup 12/12/03 - 12/19/03

Remember we are grading on a C curve. A's should be nearly impossible to get. F's would require totally screwed up conditions.

C+

I got my Hellcat. Got to yell at Brady for a very long time.

The only real bad points were the lack of JABO on IJ side and the incredible puff ACK walls setup by the Allies using their super fleets. I still think the CHog needs to be included at some point.

I'll give it a D+ (still needs less "fear balance").

Hey ... *ShruG* ... it's a hell of a lot better than Tuck's "F quadruple minus just because it's Pac" will be further down the thread. ;)

Well if A's are supposed to be hard to get I'll go for a B/B+  Okinawa is one of my favorite CT setups.  Whenever I'm online I seem to be able to find good fights as either Axis or Allied.   Plus it's got my F6F. :aok

C+/B-

Too many N1ki's is my only complaint.  I flew the zeke and had moderate success.  One thing I did have was alot of tough fights with some good pilots!

C+. I had fun but I would have liked:

N1K2s perked (5)
P38s
F4U1C perked (10)
Bf110C (or G?) as a substitute for Ki45(?) Toryu to give a JABO plane to the Rising Sun.

C+/B-  The setup brought some non-regulars in and flying the Zeke made it fun.  Saw way to many Georges, but when it is available, it will be used.

B+/A-

Very interesting setup, I flew in P47 and F4U-1D, was a lot of fun.
Great setup when 2 different tactics actually come one against other - the Enegry Fight of US planes like P47 and F4U with their diving abilities. And the Angles Fight of N1Ks and Zerros,

I had find quite difficult to go verical with N1K that is almost like UFO.

I mostly do not like PTO setups I prefere middle/late was Europ setups. But this one outstanding.

Thanks a lot great setup.

Grade-B

I think it was one of the better PTO setups. Those who mentioned seeing too many  Georges, or N1k2s......... Remember the N1K2 is having to stand in for the Ki-84, Jm2, and N1K1 , as well. If not for the Ki-61, and N1K2 , everybody on the Japanese side would have been playing dodge ball against Corsairs, Hellcats, and Thunderbolts.

I thought the IJN/IJAAF, put up an excellant fight this setup.

Lack of fun

I think scenarios with the N1K2 should have the 38 available.

From a historical perspective, I think there were WAY more 38s than N1K2s that saw action before the end.

From a fun perspective, the US carrier stuff and P47 are invicible, but can't kill a good N1K2 pilot, but the 38 can really mix it up.

Perhaps some perk points would be fun.
