I was watching an episode of 'Tales of the Gun' on the History Channel today, and it showed one of the plot rooms aboard the USS North Carolina (BB-55); the analog fire-control computer for the main guns let you dial in your course, your speed, the enemy ship's size, bearing, range, and course, and atmospheric conditions (i.e., wind, etc.), and the computer would automatically lay the guns to produce a hit, getting better than 90% accuracy against a non-maneuvering target. But in AH, we've got an eyeball-and-guess aiming system. Whee.
