I remember reading this in some obscure history book from 1988

the caption read something like:

Young Iraqi Saddam Hussein lookson at his latest war invention, The concrete Battleship named "The mother of all Battleships",  right before her inaugural launch.

The ship rolled out of drydock and straight to the bottom.
"I don't understand!"  Saddam was heard to exclaim.  "It worked fine in over 200 desert trials!.  This must be the doings of the Americans, they are jealous of my brilliant war machines!.
