38 processes?!?!

I run XP and only have 20. Something that isn't really needed is running in the background.

I'm runnin 16 background processes after using "enditall" on Windoze ME. With enditall you can experiment removing ANY background program. You find which ones HAVE to run. I can't run less than 16. Dialups, and server programs, shell etc.. Enditall, explorer are closed normally and Norton I shut off remotely. It shuts down 10-12 programs running in the background.

A must before going online. This is what's left.

You have all you need EXCEPT the vidio card. As you read above they're real cheap.

My system is very similar to yours regarding CPU and ram. I'm getting 40 FPS.

The difference is my dinasaur GeForce 2 card and your not running Dx 9B.

..and I use registery edit, NV Max, tweakME and addware to round it out.
