Anyone ever had a goon fight?  Had 6 guys goin at it in goons today in H2H. :D

Goons handle great but their guns sure are weak. Unless, of course, you say "bang bang" really loud to each other on vox. :rolleyes:

At least in AW you could have real goon fights, even though your gunner was the loadmaster hanging out the door with a .45 cal automatic.

.50 cal., if I recall correctly.

AW ... a good example of a game that had a community that wasn't all that concerned with the cutting edge graphics (though it had members within the community that developed graphic enhancements)*.

Also a good example of what happens when half-wits buy the store. :D

* Admitting that AH has many features that AirWarriors dreamed of seeing in their game.

Actually, I preferred the offline practice with goons in the old DOS AW... the program new that the goon carried eight something, but wasn't really sure what it was, so you took off with eight 500-lb bombs. No bombsight, of course, so you had to bomb by eye. I always got a chuckle out of the mental image of the loadmaster kicking bombs out the door...

I remember one of Lone Wolf's warnights where we had a lot of goon fights.... great fun.  Getting the goon flying at just the right angle for the gunner to be able to hit the other goon was interesting.  :)

We did duel with Lancasters at last year's UK Con, which was a lot of fun too.  :D
