Ki44 and Ki84

Hey guys, I was searching for information on the Ki-84 Hayate and a Ki-44 Shoki picture came up...these planes look nearly identical, anyone know the difference ?

Lot's of differances, a quick search on the net can generate a ton of stuff on them.

The Nakajima Ki-84 was a completely different plane with a yet more powerful engine. The Ki-84 was more in the tradition of the Ki-43 and had about the same size and proportions, while the Ki-44 was quite a bit smaller.

There are some very high performance figures around for the Ki-84 that are a bit suspicious.

The Ki-84 was much better suited for mass production than both the Ki-43 and the Ki-44.

The pictures I saw made them look exactly alike, but I just went and looked at more and can see the differences now :)
