Fester...you asked.....

...and here is what I think...

I like what you did with the fields on the coasts. It seems that majority of the Unopposed Field Capture monkeys now have a bit more distance to travel and this helps the few defenders that show up there.

The center seems much the same. First two times up, took a pony B into a full bar sector and got 9 kills (I augered turnin with an La7, COD I suck :D).

I still find the GV 'strips' to be a problem. With the spawns set up the way they are, it is a relatively simple matter for a couple of buff monkeys to run B17s up the line and take down a couple of GV hangers. Since all of the spawns are direct line to the next field and few of the air fields are within 50 miles, it makes it very hard to stop anyone from rolling up the GV fields very quickly. If the opportunity arises, you might want look at allowing a couple of the air fields to spawn into the GV field strips. It might add a few....possiblities :D.

Thanks for your efforts....well done.

those gvs strips r perfect imo.. and the most fun on the map.

Plane spawns would kill it.

There are no nikkis and spits upping to strafe kill you and it takes effort to get airsupport or aircover.   The gameplay along the gv strip is great.

Howz bout reading what I wrote?? I never asked for ease in getting planes there. What I asked for was spawns from some of the airfields. As it is now, the only way back in is to fight down the line. Adding a couple of spawns from the air fields would allow for the possiblity of flanking the enemies rolling up the 'strip'.

yeah i have to fix the the gv hangars or somthing on the map that makes them not respawn after 15 minutes, will add some additional spawns from airfields to make the buff tards have trouble killing all the fun.

map is fine but i fail to understand why no Shore Batteries.

ie like at 205 209 etc to easy to just travel a sector there with cv and no defense except bombers.

need to add sb at all shore bases in my opinion

Nobaddy i disagree with your gv  strip analysis. I find it near impossible to roll those bases due to the cities and alll that ack. Besides its a short drive from adjoining base spawn. Unless of course its bish gangbang night and then sheer numbers overwhelm the poor gv bases.

The current inline spawn design works very well.  It concentrates the gv forces from both sides and creates a good ongoing battle without additional fronts opening up to dilute the fight.  If you want  a base, you have to go thru defenders to get it not steal some backline undefended base.

In regards to Buff'rs flying down the line taking out 3 or 4 gv bases in a row...
a solution is to stagger the bases to make the buffer make more course corrections.  I didn't see this as being too much of a problem however.  1.) Many buffers miss and 2.) was fun shooting down those buffs trying.

One unintended consequence of the GV-strip is that, with the distance from any defending airbase, and with the minimal amount of ord required to kill a vh at a v-base,  as opposed to a vh at an airbase, is 1 puke with a 110 can totally destroy 3-4 inarow, making them effectively useless for 45 min or so, when barracks come back up. (and a group of dedicated Bish did that for like 3 days ina row, totally taking us gv-dweebs out of the picture;)

As far as that goes, WHHHHYYYYyy do hangars, which require some amount of effort to kill, come up in 15 minutes, and Barracks/ammo/gas, etc, which a fediddlein p40 can kill...take most of an hour?

Can you say "GRIEFER" !!!

There is a certain subset/culture that has grown within the ranks of AH that derive their fun by eliminating fun for others. No combat reason ... just pissin' in your bowl of cheerios.
