Cant See Anything
« on: November 14, 2003, 10:27:33 AM »
Hello,

I have two boxes both with the same problem.

Box1:
IBM 1gz  Herculies card I think

Box2:
  Intel P4 2.53
  Asus MB
  Video Card ATI 9700 Pro
  256 Memeory

The opening clipboard loads fine,  I click Offline and about 30 to 60 seconds later I am in the tower, but all I see are grey and white boxes where the clipboard, and other graphics in the tower should be.

if I hit / command radio input opens but I can see no text.

I have a squar cursor etc.  It seems like no graphics are being applied.

First Beta Worked like a charm.

Did not try 2 and 3.

It seems like no overlays are getting painted.

Hard drive: Maxtor 6E0L0 (20 gig - 16 gigs free)
DirectX: 9.0

Sweet some replies.

RE:  pugg666 thread.

I scanned his thread very quickly.  I am having the exact same problem.  His screen shots dipict exactly the same thing that is happening to me on the two boxes I outlined above.

Some additional Info on my machines.

Box1  OS Windows ME running DX9

Box2  OS Windows 2000 running DX8

It seems most people in pugs thread thought it was his machine.

That can not be the case since I was able to run beta 1 no prob.  Something has changed unfortunatly between beta1 and 4.

Scuzzy are you out there any ideas on what could be the problem?

Thanks for the replies and info.

Set your texture size limit to 128 by hand in the file.
Then see what your results are.

I updated my video drivers from v5.33g to v12.90, and that appear to fix my issue.
