I have a MS FF and use the 3.02 Profiler for almost all the buttons, I had to map the HAT to the NUMPAD to get 8 views, (the only drawback is flaps won't deploy while looking sideways due to a num key being seen as pressed) I was having problems getting an UP/Back view til I used the AH js mapper to assigned the 5 button to up, and left it blank in the Profiler, now when I press UP and use the hat I get up the UP 8 views.
I also used Paint Shop Pro to edit my gunsight, so I have tick marks for deflection, a small circle below main cross hairs for aiming rockets, and the main cross hair looks sorta like the K14 from cuda's gunsight gallery.
Taking the .wavs from Brro's default.zip I renamed a few I liked and installed em in the AH/sounds folder.
Still getting used to the cockpit zoom/view/panning, but I assiagned on button on my JS to select snapviews, and another to select panning mode, it seems to work well for me so far.
Speaking of cockpit views, one addition that might be nice is a target selection and target lock mode for the views, like in WW2 Fighters, this way the pilots head follows the target..dunno it might be nice to never lose sight..hehe
One distractor for me (yes it is beta, but...) is the lack of sounds for gear and flaps, even in WB when using them I do check the indicator as to thier position, but the sound confirms thier operation to me, especially flaps when I am in a up/forward view trackin and enema I NEED to hear those flaps working.....
