Personally, I'm for a constitutionally limited federal government, and more power in the hands of states and individuals. That also puts me in lockstep with "the way of thinking of the South from the Civil War." That scares you?
Well, being from California, I see how you could be frightened by more power in the governor's hands.
Yeah, I figured you were basing your condemnation of mid-19th century Southerners on an over-simplistic view of the Civil War. I just thought I'd call you on it.
It just gripes me when people make blanket statements like that. Particularly comparing Southerners to Nazis. In point of fact, there weren't very many states North or South you could call poster children for race relations in the 1860s.
