So I up a 163

I a country dweeb comes on channel stating the HQ is under attack.  I'm on the ground have a quick look at the radar and see a lone dot inbound.  Haven't flown a 163 in a while so I up with a wingy and we give chase.  The dweeb is relieved.  I go vertical, 300mph, 5k, 10k, 20k, 30k....  this dot is just not getting any closer.  2 min, half a tank and 35k later we decide to give up.

My point is, what the heck it the point of a 50k + dweeb over the HQ.  It must have taken this guy over an hour to get that kind of alt and he sure isn't going to come close to hitting anything.  My guess was, he was in an La7, with bombs wearing a new pair of New Balances, bent on raising complete havock over the HQ!

No no no, it was not an LA7.  Itwas the international space station just making a pass over HQ.  A lot of people confuse that with la7s.

What is the plane with the highest ceiling? Arent most well under 40k? I just curious what could actually get that high regardless of how long they climbed.

mitsu had a a6m5b up above 110k in a screen shot 1 time

supposedly there are others that have been above 150k


on original topic... it took way more than an hour. back in my early days in AH before the norden bombsight, formations, and 163's it was common to have a loner climb for a few hours to 40+k and hit HQ... but back then 1 bomber alone couldnt wipe out HQ and most players didnt know which building to hit @ HQ.

anyway i took a lanc with full bombs and 50% fuel and went afk for 2 hours. i had travled i bit over 6 sectors in distance and was 37K. what a waste.
