Can't try it Online?
« on: January 18, 2004, 10:42:11 AM »
I noticed this in Beta 9 and now again in Beta 10.

When I start the Beta up and choose online it immediatly informs me it can't find the server.. try alt' route?, I say yes and again it immediatly says alt' route can't be found?

If I shut the beta down and click on AH it opens up and I can go online straight away?

Disabled ZA permanently a while ago (prob' with dreamweaver)
Guess it "could" be a password problem, seemed to work for Jazbo1, I'll have to check the email from HTC that has my p'word details.......

copy your login text file in your ah1 settings folder and paste in ah2 setting folder then try to login.......

But if it was a bad login why would it go to the alt route?

Well, it isn't a password prob' tried same password as AH.. didn't work, just to make sure I got the password resent from AH and tried it in the beta... didn't work.

Tried "resend passsword" from AH2.. it wouldn't as it couldn't connect.

Tried copying login.cfg from AH to AH2, still the same... no log on.

Batz, I can't log on at all, it just asks if I want to go the alt' route, if I say yes it still can't connect.

black if regular AH works, then you must have some type of firewall software running.

Yup, i had this same problem running Zone Alarm.  Even after disabling ZA I still had the problem... the settings were still intact.  Only after uninstalling ZA the problem cleared.   Try a reinstall.

I had problems when Zone Alarm released the latest version (don't have the version # in front of me at the moment).  I uninstalled and rolled back to the previous version and the problem went away.

I also can't get online since the new version came out.  locks up on the splash screen.  There's no reason why u should have to disable NIS or NAV. I could go online w/o problem prior to version 10 with NIS/NAV running.

You've obviously got a bug in v10 that wasn't there in earlier versions.
