What's that on the AH2B G-10?
« on: January 25, 2004, 12:04:21 AM »
I need some help with what it says on our AH2 Beta G-10 guys.

 :)

What I'm wondering about, is what it is written on the left fuselage, near the cooler air intake part, written with Red letters that starts: "Vorsicht beine(keine?) ... "

 ...

Also, Under the lower part of the fuselage Number "21", there is a circle and a half circle it seems. What are these? Fuel ducts? Also under the half circle, something is written but I can't make it out. Anybody know what it says?

 ...

Also, can any of you guys recommend me any good websites concerning info about formal inscription/labels/tablets/painted notations on aircraft fuselages?

For instance, I'm wondering just where exactly the Werknummers on LW birds were painted on. Also, I'll need to know what the Japanese birds have inscribed on their 'tablets' if I ever decide to skin them.

Maybe there's a good book around with such info ;) but Western bibliography is so hard to get hands on in the Far East.

Anyone got info on any of my questions, please let me know. Thank you!

Vorsicht biene is caution legs, and Vorsich Kiene is Caution no.

Does anyone know the origin of the "Barli" and knight-with-lance-on-horseback insignia on the side of the AH1 Ju-87D, along with the cryptic "Big Daddy" badge farther up towards the cockpit?

Vorsicht beim Offnen. Kuhler ist im Haubenteil eingebaut.

Be careful when opening.  (Oil) cooler is built into the (lower) cowling.

The cirle on the left side of the fusleage at the bottom of the 21 is the master compass acess hatch.

The half circle under it is the door covering a built in boarding step for the pilot and groundcrew. The label is "Einstiegklappe."
