Carrier landing tips

Just some tips for landing on the carrier.

1. Keep your touch down speed around 100.
2. Fly a very shallow angle on to the deck.

I know that may not seem like much, but it makes a huge difference. Remember, when landing in a spit or corsair (Long nosed birds) to fly the curved approach so you can see the carrier all the way down instead of hunting around both sides of the nose for it.
you can also you use the two rear ships in the convoy as a reference for where you are realtive to the carrier.

Seems like you really have to set em down soft on the CV deck.  Too soft in fact.  I thought CV landings were supposed to be hard.

Marcof:

Yes, there are arrestor-hooks, by default used by pressing shift-g.

Try setup-key-mapping press flight-keys and look for the tail-hook list-item. then assingn a key if not already done...

BTW, cool, I almost expected someone to actually manage to land a b17 on a cv...
