I know in HTC's statement they say that one of the things they'll check for would be historical accuracy; but wouldn't it be wild if the KOTH winner could have a radical skin (Reno air races); or the No.1 MA ranker could pick his own skin etc. etc.

Aviation; both in war and peace; has always been much more colourfull than the black and photos lead one to believe. There was always far more than just olive drab and camo.

Each squad should have a custom skin, which only that squad could use.

Should have few limitations like have to be historical camoflage - but with maybe custom noseart and squadron lettering.

Id like to see something for like what you suggest Furball, even if HT decided no, then i was thinkin somethin where you could do your own cowling,wing tips, tail section etc, that only your squad could use, thatd be pretty cool.

I know they are doing this for historical accuracy but its still a game, not real life, the maps arent real life maps etc so for MA itd be nice to see a feature like this or similar to. Just my opinon.

Hell no, I wouldn't want to be forced to download 100s of skins that I can't use. A squad in Ah is 2 guys. The only way others see your skin is if they have it on their Front End. Now if skins are only seen on your front end then who cares. But thats not what HT has planned.

Besides all the green and pink bs that folks will throw out would just be to stupid to look at.

Swoop may be on to something with a KOTH skin. Since the only people that would need skins like these would be the ones flying in those events I can't see why as long as those who participate regularly agree.

But no skins in the main that can't be used by all. No crazy arsed pink and blue Zebras flying about. Just look at some of the silly nose art folks use. That and Squad highlite are good enough to indentify a squad.

Just tested it, somthings broke,belive the 51 will work not sure yet why others dont. Will put out a patch tommorow.

I agree with you to an extent Batz. It would be nice as a squadron to fly specific colors. Not the whole airframe in some unrealistic paint scheme though. Much like many of the squadrons did during WWII.

Will most care what paint scheme others fly, probably not. But like many squadrons specific color schemes are how they could tell who each ones were. If I came across a flight of 109's or 190's and could tell within the first pass who they were affiliated with it'd add some excitement to the engagement.

I doubt many aircrews knew by this who the enemies were or who they were affiliated with but in here you have to have something more to spice it up. I guess it would be much like having a mark. And with that mark it carries some kind of significance instead of waiting to see who you killed by the text buffer.

If anything it'd be nice to have a quick way that each member in the squad could set there designations on the airframe. CO, XO, Flight Leader 1, ect... All this by way of markings and color bands such as the Germans had. They could still be realistic paint schemes and markings from each era.

Oh and I forgot one important thing to bring up. All skins for the MA/Online play have to go through HT for approval before being added. So I doubt you'll see any off the wall paint schemes. Just the better ones and historically correct ones. So with that we shouldn't have any neon designs or rather horrid skins in the MA.
