Skining workaround explained

All you need to do is make a COPY of any bmp files in your custom skin directory...and rename the copies with the HTX extension.

Here are the 2 bmp files I modified:
----------------------
P51DSID.bmp
DUDE1.bmp
----------------------

and now I make additional matching files with the new extension:

______________
P51DSID.htx
DUDE1.htx
----------------------

Make sure ALL of these files (in this case FOUR files) are in the CUSTOME SKIN directory (in this case its the P51D1 directory).  Remember! you cant copy and rename all in one directory...Ive made temp subdirectories in my customer file directories to allow me to paste the original files...rename and then copy back to the original customer directory.

c:\AH2
...............skins
.......................p51D
.......................P51D1
............................. ....TEMP

LOOK at that handsome fella in the cockpit!

I found that the pilot skin, is all separate for each plane - which probably means the guage and meters skin, is also all separate for each plane.

Probably means we can build historic interiors for each of the plane cockpits... Although I don't think we'll ever get to use such in online, I think it's possible to enjoy those in H2H or offline modes. :).. Oh, CT of course, too.

How on earth did you guys that take the pics of the pilots and new plane skins zoomed in that far?  When I go offline, and hit f3 and then Z, it zooms in only a little.
