Ah Skinners Unite!!!
« on: January 23, 2004, 02:50:21 PM »
Ok guys,

Just a suggestion that everyone who's making skins in photoshop create a basic "template" of the plane you're working.
On this template have different layers for panel lines, rivets, screws, ect....

Don't need to have the camo or weathering, just a white background with the layers mentioned.

Anyway, I'll post my 190 Dora template when done...
would be nice to have others to work with also.

I will be taking this to the terrain editor area on BBS...or maybe we'll have a new "skins" section on BBS.

About 25% finished.

I need help with what the small text on the fuselage reads.

Does anyone know what it says on the:

1) Left Fuselage, under the cowl, where it goes "Vorsicht blah blah blah..?"

2) Left Reat Fuselage,  lower left side of the "C3" mark, under the half circle..?

3) Right fuselage, also under the half circle..?

Hiya Kweassa!

Looking good!

You've seen these?

http://www.jiop.fi/ksimuseo/faq_bf109evogc.html

Just wanted to make sure....the best line drawings of the 109 series around! ;)

Though by the quality of your work so far you might be using them allready. ;)

EDIT/

1)------Vorsicht beim Öffnen
Kühler ist im Haubenteil eingebaut

It means: "Careful when opening. The cooler is built into the cover."

2) They both are over the hatches which are "kicked in" and used as steps to enter to the aircraft. It most probably says something like "step here" in german.

This may help with dora skins.

Doratemplates.zip (Zipped Photoshop .psd-files)

Some layers are named and are in finnish but I think you get it anyway. :aok

I hope it helps...
