Schuey nearly laps the entire field. Oh my.

Perhaps we just forget about Ferrari and concentrate on who is No. 2.

BAR-Honda looks to have finally pulled their heads out of their arses ('cept the decision to put Sato behind the wheel), but McLaren's noggins' have filled the resultant colonic void (or probably more accurately, Ilmor has).

Sorry if I can't get excited about Schumacher and the few records he hasn't broken yet. I respect his accomplishments - I just can't get excited about another season of them.

The big change for Honda was switching to Michelin.
McLaren and Williams have totally new cars and I think can be expected to improve. I sure hope it's not another Ferrari parade snoozer.

I have to confess to being a JV fan and it was painfull watching him flounder at BAR. In addition to the Michelins, it appears they're on the cusp of having adequate power that will last a race for a change. At least Button has aquired a knack for nursing it to the finish while staying somewhat competitive.

McLaren may be entering a dark period. They never got the MP18 right and now the MP19 is a **** when all that extra development time with the 18 should have been a boon. Not a good sign.

I didn't see the F1 race but I saw the standings and thought to myself "Hey, look, Ferrarri finished 1, 2 again. Looks like the same-ol', same-ol' this year."

NASCAR is actually going to be interesting this year despite the new aero changes and quick-wearing tires (I shudder to think about what that's going to do to driver safety). The quick-wear tires are going to move the race finish from the drivers to the pit crew, which is wrong. They should've stayed with the tires and instead reduced the on-board fuel capacity (again) to reward those drivers that can manage their throttles.

Kasey Kahne in Bill Elliot's #9 Dodge should do well. Kenseth is already proving he's a steady driver. Harvick could do better if he didn't play the goon on the track.

Unfortunitly, the only exciting part of a F1 race for me is the first 2 turns
