Arlo welcomes "Wicked" to the CT

Wicked says, "Switching sides and running vehicle supplies to my buddies in their wounded Tigers is fun!"

Wicked says, "Hurry guys! Spawn now! They're going to spawn a tank on the other side to kill me!"

Wicked says, "Sorry guys ... didn't mean to get you all killed because they are obviously smarter than me."

Welcome (or welcome back) to the Combat Theater, dufus. :D

I hear JG3 rules the CT through superior tactics, strategy and diligence. I'm glad they would never think of doing something like this.;)

Don't worry wicked, the CT is a dufusses gene pool...

On the same exact spot, a few minutes earlier, I was bringing supplies in a C47 for LTMagee and another countrymate who were badly damaged and running low on ammo. Just before I dropped, LT Magee blew up thanks to the freshly spawned Tiger's attention. Then I dropped. Then the second countrymate died (sorry I forgot his name)....the TrueKill, then Tiger's driver, got the supplies...DOH!

The political officer shot me in the neck as soon as I landed...

Here is the deal guys.

At the rail yard north of A1 there is a spawn point for both axis and allies. The axis Tiger spawns with its gun pointing less than 30 degrees at the allied spawn point. The allied Tiger spawns with its gun pointing 180 degrees to the axis spawn point. As you can see the axis gets the early advantage in caping the spawn point.  I have always requested supplies when damaged until I learned that both countries can use the supplies. There are times when we need supplies even when axis GVs are near by, however, this particular night, unknown to deSelys, allies were not yet set up to have the "re-supply" advantage over the axis GVs.

Then there was "Wicked" who decided to come allied and drop supplies to the axis GVs. He would drop supplies then get between me and the axis GV so I could not shoot (kill-shooter remember?). Thus I elected to transfer to the axis side, in co-ordination with allied forces, as noted in the pic posted by Arlo, and rid the problem. It worked untill Arlo shot me anyway..LOL!!

Thus noted two map bugs:

1. Resupply can be used by both allied and axis. (we gonna go realistic this time Brady?)
2. Spawn points, GVs should face same direction with equal chance to gain an advantage.

I don't think the both sides using vehicle supplies is a map bug, but just how the game is coded.  It works this way in the MA too.
80th FS "Headhunters"

Well ... this map is pretty much a duck-shooting gallery all over. Point blank opposing spawnpoints are the rule not the exception, apparently. If both sides are spawning it's a case of who manages to get their vehicles in position to camp first or who manages to spawn the most vehicles at once. Also with each side's strats situated deep in enemy territory it's a strat milker's dream. A five minute ride to an enemy city for either side. There's even PT spawns that are practically within range of "docked river cruisers" (though there's also point blank opposing pt spawns there as well).

All in all it's rather bizarre. Sure it doesn't mean a hill of beans if everyone's up furballing but that's never really the case. I'd suggest moving spawnpoints both further away from each other and further away from their intended targets. A five minute drive won't kill anyone. Hell ... players could still manage to setup crossfiring spawncamping positions ... it's unavoidable anyway. But make `em have to work a `lil harder at it. Even me.

;) :aok

That would be me. It only took me once spawning there to figure out that I was pointed 180 away from the Axis spawn point and decide I wasnt going back a second time. I dont really care, GV's are stupid anyway.
