Let me try to translate it first:

I have a new PCI sound card.
I was using onboard sound chip integrated into motherboard.
What do I do?

If this translation is close, then try this:

On startup, press delete or whatever key takes you to BIOS setup. If you don't know how, then read the manual.

Go to chipset features in BIOS setup and disable onboard sound.

Load drivers for new sound card.

Good luck! :D

It goes into the mic input jack of your new sound card. It should be pink, since it's a mic input for Knits/Bish only. :)

no tatertot, you'll have to plug into the actual card.

Plugging into the motherboard = plugging into a adisabled sound card.  Him no workee no more.

If your audigy card is the same as mine there is no place for mic in or headphone out, just use the jacks on the card.
