The P-400 is a P-39D (I think, have to look it up) with a 20mm Hizooka instead of a 37mm.  Firepower would probably be about the same.

It would only survive in an antitank role unless someone was foolish enough to turn with it at low speed and low alt...

P-400's were P39's that were shipped back from Britain and re-designated as P-400's. Only difference is it used a 20mm hub cannon instead of the 37mm.  he 37mm was notorious for jamming.
Funny thing that PTO pilots used to say "...a P400 is just a P-40 with a Zero on its' tail..."
Warbirds had a model of the P-39 and it actually was kind of fun to fly. A nice change. Like the Yak-9T, one hit from the 37mm abd it's "lights out".

It would be a hanger queen/cannon fodder in the late 1944 MA, but it would be heavily used in the CT and in events.
