If the job thingy I started on gets going. Basically a program where you find a place at a company, they tell another company what skills they want you to have and then you alternate between theory and working at that company. After that you're guaranteed a job for at least 6 months, but in reality it almost always turns out to be longer. They're still looking for that company for me, but was told chances are extremely good thanks to my good grades and general skills and I've already enrolled on the first stint of theory (.NET stuff).
Anyway, my enrollment means I won't be able to go to Russia this summer to go skydiving. But it also means a job, which means money, so I'm postponing the yearly skydiving trip til January instead.
I'll be going to Florida. To Zephyrhills, Sebastian and a couple of other places. Will probably make a detour to Texas (because I've always wanted to see the place and because I got some jumping friends there). I already have a place to stay while in Florida (and that dude is loaded and will cover my living expenses, man, I love skydivers
).
Any AH'ers live in that (general) area? I'm gonna save up as much of what I earn as I can so I won't be too restricted by money while I'm in the US and it'd be really cool to meet some AH people and teach them how to appreciate good Danish beer. And perhaps convince them to do a tandem jump
. Also, I'd really like to do some shooting while I'm there, since we only have like lame .22 shooting at pistol clubs if you wanna do pistols and revolvers. Would also want to try some semi-automatic rifles. How do I go about that?
Well, that's my plan anyway. The best laid plans of men and mice often go awry. If I get the job though, it will take a serious injury or illness to stop me from going.
Oh yeah, my sister will be coming too, but it's not known whether she'll travel with me or stay at one DZ. She just took the Hippocratic Oath and is now a medical doctor, she is single, athletic and easy going. Since docs earn ****loads more in the US, I think I should hook her up with someone in the US, since that'd mean I could borrow more money from her . She has expressed some...reservations (if you can call a *fist* to the face that), but I'm sure she'll get around that when I find a handsome US fellow 
. Anyway, she might come along if I visit someone, so they gotta be ok with that.
Oh, and yeah, she really did punch me in the face. With a fist. Hard. Left a bruise around my eye socket. And she thought it was hilarious.
