Are you in a self abusive relationship?

I kept it quiet for many years but I reported it a few years ago to some friends.  Sure enough, they were victims too.  One guy was once self-abused 20 times in a day.

I think my right hand is sleeping around. He comes home late at night, often drunk, and smelling of other men... sometimes animals.

When I approach him at night for some comfort... he turns me away... complaining of being too tired and stressed out because of work. He won't even let me put Jerkens on his calouses.

My left hand has been making making overtures towards me, so far I've turned away his advances. Though every day the temptation is getting harder to resist.

I don't know what to do.

I say "No!", but that doesn't fool anyone because deep down I know that what I really mean is "yes".

Please help me.

"It's difficult to get self-abuse victims to stop blaming themselves for what's happened," Hattchett said. "They think it's their fault, because they're too weak to resist. And, despite everything that has happened, they often maintain strong feelings for their abusers. I've seen it happen time and time again."
